Sade Carrington

Sade was born 1957 at Texas Downs.  She is of the Kitja people.  Sade was sent to school at Beagel Bay when hse was four, then to Perth to complete hr education.  she worked in the homestead at Texas Dwons until 1980, when she joined her relatives at Warmun (Turkey Creek).  Sade married Churchill Cann, then head stockman at Texas and now an internationally known artist.  Sade travelled extensively with her art, both throughout Australia and overseas.  Her paintings reflect dreaming stories of the Kitja people of which she is very knowledgeable.
