Gabriella Possum Nungarrayi

An Anmatyerre speaker born in Mt Allan in 1967, Gabriella is the eldest daughter of Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri, one of the most renowned of the original group of Papunya painters.  Gabriella began painting at an early age and gained an award in the 1983 Alice Springs Art Awards while still a student atr Yirara College.  Gabriella's Dreamings include Bush Coconut, Black Seed, Milky Way, and womens stories from the Mt Allan area.
