Barbara Reid Napangarti

Born at Paaya near Tjukurla in Western Australia, Barbara commence painting in 1987 for the Centre for Aboriginal Artists.  She is a Ngaanyatjarra women working in an individualistic style depicting the country of Tjukurla in the Gibson Desert, Western Australia.  Characteristic for Barbara is the depiction of puli - rock formations, and tuli - sand hills, those features that afre so much a part of the land form which she comes.
